Got Old T-Shirts? part 2

We have so many old T-shirts that some I re purpose to make my little man t-shirts and the rest I use to make necklaces/ scarfs. This one is a little bit more creative than the last one.

So same thing you bring the side seams together and fold the shirt in half. You cut strips all the way to the sleeves or right before a logo. Stretch all strips till they curl.

Take half of the strips and cut at the seam to make a braid on one side. The rest of the strips that are left in a circle are for the drape part of the necklace. Take the side seams of the circle and that will attach to the braid.

Lastly with a smaller piece of t-shirt tie the braid to draped strips and wrap with the t-shirt to cover the ends.

This one is a bright blue so it matches lots of my outfits!!

Got Old T-Shirts?

My favorite thing to do is re purpose. Lots of my inspiration comes from Pinterest and this is one of the things I just loved and had to try.
This is a re purposed T-shirt necklaces.

Take and old t-shirt and fold in half so that seams are on one side. Cut the top part of the t-shirt right under the sleeve. Then cut half inch strips all the way down.
Then take each strand and stretch till the material curls. Cut out the back part of the remaining t-shirt and cut 2 1 1/2 inch wide strands. Line up the seams on each side and with your bigger strands wrap the seams to hide them.
That's it. You can get so creative with this. You can mix colors, add braids, make bracelets. I made a blue one that I'll post soon.
