"Mother knows best"

Sage is in love with Tangled!! She loves the songs and loves to quote it. So my mom and I went to the Disney store to see if they had some Rapunzel hair and they do. 2 problems... number 1, it was synthetic hair, one snag on that braid and it would come apart real fast. Problem 2, it was like $45, I don't do $45 for something that my 2 year old will drag around. So we went to the fabric store instead and made these!! :D

I didn't take pictures of how I made the braid (sorry) but I will do my best to try and explain it.

Have 1 person hold one end and rapped it around another person till you undo the whole roll of yarn. At the top of one end take a piece of yarn and tie it.

Then braid one long braid. Measure your child's head and make a circle that size with your braid. With yarn hand sew together to make a the head part of the braid.

Take some flowers from a wreath that never happened and glue them on with a hot glue gun.

There you go!

Sage decided to wear her Rapunzel braid to story time where lots of moms just loved her hair. I tried to explain to them how to make them but I think I confused them.

Upon request of moms from story time I will be selling these Rapunzel braids for $15.00. I have several orders for them but can have them to you in 2 days for. Flowers will be different just send me a measurement of your child's head and their height. If you make the braid I would love to see pictures!! post them on facebook and tag me!

xoxo

Halloween Bats!

Halloween bats are so beautiful!! In high school we got a chance to see them come out of their cave in New Mexico and it was just beautiful!
Got the idea for these bats Here

This is Halloween

Before...

After!! And this is how...

I really like the dead look for Halloween but not guts and blood dead, I like the dark branches and bats and friendly ghost Halloween.
Went to DI and got 3 frames, one was a dollar and the other small ones .75 cents! can't beat that!
Got the branch from my back yard and used a white vase that Justin gave me for prom ( ahhh!!). The spray paint I got at home depot for about $3.00, and have used it for other crafts to come later buahaha!!

Anyway spray paint them and let them dry.

Make sure to get the side and the inside really good.

To save some paint don't completely spray paint the entire thing, the part going in the vase doesn't need to be painted.

For the back ground I got newspapers, just like a photo line up with the sample picture and your done.

You can write whatever you would like but I free handed "Trick Or Treat" and on the smaller frames put the silhouette of my kids. I took a picture of each of their profiles and uploaded it on to my laptop. The light from the laptop allowed me to trace their profiles to a white piece of paper. I traced that to a black paper and taped it on, without the need of a silhouette machine.

all done!

I'm such a mom!

This I've heard many times, and doesn't offend me at all. I love my kids so much that their necessities have inspired me to be more creative with the things we have. I've learned from my mother how to make your own clothes and beautify our home on a small budget. This is what I want to teach my children. This blog is dedicated to them. This blog I hope inspires you moms and women out there to make your home decor and clothing at a very low cost. Most of the crafts I do are under $5 which I love!. I also love re purposing clothes of my kids and also for myself. Mainly the clothes I will be posting are for toddlers and babies. Hope you enjoy this blog because I enjoy sharing it, and being such mom! :D

This is my husband Justin, daughter Sage Maci she is almost 2 and half, son Brigham Urijah who is almost 1, and Me!

Lets have fun!
